We hear many inspiring case studies at ThirdForce particularly centred around Literacy and Numeracy programmes. Cathy Vaissieres-Brien one of our Learning Support Managers (LSMs) brought a gentleman called George Wacira to my attention with the following synopsis “My learner is a 55 year old man. He came to England a long time ago but his English is a little bit broken. He begged me to sign him up to level two in both Maths and English even though his initial diagnostic showed him to be at Entry level 3 and therefore he should be working towards Level 1. He jumped two levels in the two subjects. He passed first time with a good score.”
