Dementia
Dementia course is essential for learners who may come into contact with Dementia sufferers as part of their role. Understanding the key issues and how to relate to individuals is a key requirement for organisational compliance and to provide a high level of care. The course content has been mapped to the following units of the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care:
• Dementia Awareness (Unit sector reference: DEM 201)
• Understand and implement a person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia (Unit sector reference: DEM 204)
DEM 201 is a REQUIRED unit for all learners undertaking the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care in England through the Dementia Pathway and DEM 204 is one of the optional units.
